Rank 1 is a Dutch trance group, formed in the Netherlands in 1997. Widely regarded as one of the originators of the Dutch trance sound, the group have produced a number of dancefloor hits since their conception. Although the two members of the group (Benno De Goeij and Piet Bervoets) had worked together before, Rank 1 (a name first used in 1999) was their first project with commercial success.
Their biggest hit commercially was the 1999 track "Airwave", which reached #10 in the UK Singles Chart[1] and #25 in the U.S. Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart. This was later re-released by Rank 1 remixed with added vocals as "Breathing (Airwave 2003)", and also provided the base for a mash up with Donna Williams, as "True Love Never Dies", which was later vocally re-recorded using Kelly Llorenna, by Flip and Fill.
The groups song: "L.E.D There Be Light", was chosen as the Trance Energy 2009 Anthem, as well as the background song to the 2009 Electric Daisy Carnival commercial. Their latest track, "Symfo," is the Sunrise Festival Theme 2009

He became a well known DJ and producer by the release of the Tiesto Album In Search of Sunrise 6, in which his track Chase My Rabbit was featured.
For the international trance music industry he became interesting after Armin van Buuren presented his track Mr. White in his weekly radioshow A State Of Trance. The track Mr. White quickly became one of the most played tracks in 2007. Furthermore Marcus Schossow has collaborated with another Swedish producer Thomas Sagstad to create "Moog Me", another progressive trance hit. Other collaborations include "Schossow & Brandlt - Horny" which is a remix of "Mouse T - Horny" and "Marcus Schossow & Thomas Sagstad - Crepuscolo".
Marcus Schossow has a weekly radio show called Tone Diary, which he presents on the internet radio station "AH.FM".
In 2009 Marcus became the first Swedish DJ to win the title of Most Popular Nordic DJ of 2008 from Megamin's annual poll since 2004's winner Airbase. He is the biggest climber in the poll's history as well as the only Swedish DJ in the top 5 with 628 votes since in 2007 he only received 5 votes

Tessa's experience as a pianist and composer matched with Sophie's ability to turn any song into one breathing as if it had been born from the soul, was a dynamic combination and perfect breeding ground for the acoustic, tender sound that is uniquely their own. Having written over 25 original songs, their music has taken on an electronic acoustic folk-rock feel.
